# Spaces and pages.

A page holds one thing your company knows. A space is a set of pages shared with one set of people.

## new words

**Page**
A text file that ends in `.md`, about one thing.

**Space**
A set of pages shared with one set of people.

**Sync client**
The small program that keeps the pages on your computer the same as the pages on the server.

## the lesson

Your brain is every space you read. Your Claude reads these pages before it works, so you do not explain your company each day.

A space is shared whole. Everyone it is shared with reads every page in it.

Two spaces are your own. Personal is yours. Sealed is read only by your computers, and we cannot read it. Your company adds team spaces, each shared with one set of people.

| Role | What you do |
| Reader | Read every page |
| Editor | Also change the pages |
| Manager | Also decide who reads the space |

Each space is a folder on your computer, in `~/instibrain/spaces/`. The sync client keeps it up to date on its own.

Your brain: every space you read. Marketing is an example name.
