# Ask your brain.

Claude finds a page with two or three words the page must hold, then reads it whole. Ask it to name the page, and it can.

## new words

**Search**
The brain's search: every word you give must start a word of the page's path or text, in any order. One word the page lacks hides it.

**Label**
How far a page's text may travel: public, internal, confidential, or restricted. Every page has one.

## the lesson

Claude does not guess an answer about your company. It searches your spaces for the page, reads the page, and answers from it. The search wants two or three words the page must hold, never a sentence: "invoice days" finds the payments page; "when do we pay our invoices" finds nothing, because the page lacks "when" and "our".

Every hit names its space, its label, and the paragraph where the words land. Claude then reads the page whole, with its version and its label. So Claude can always say where a fact came from: ask, and it names the page.

| Label | Its text may go |
| public | Anywhere |
| internal | Inside your account's spaces, rooms and people |
| confidential | To the space's readers alone: never into a wider space, a room, a chat or an outside tool |
| restricted | As confidential, and quoted to no one; the page is named only to its readers |

A sealed space is restricted, and so is a space only you read. A shared open space takes the label its managers set, internal when they set none. A page can raise its own label, never lower it. In the hour after Claude read a confidential page, a write into a wider space waits as a held proposal for that space's managers.

One question through the brain. Acme and its page are an example.

## try it

Type this and press Enter, with a thing your company has a page about:

```
Where do we keep what we know about <thing>? Name the page, its space, and its label.
```

## you should see

- A path such as `finance/payments.md`, the space it is in, and one of the four labels.
- When no page holds it, Claude says so, and offers to write one. Lesson 3 does that.
