# Every change kept.

Every version of a page is kept and names its writer. Ask what changed this week, and Claude answers from the history, not from memory.

## new words

**Version**
One saved state of a page. A new one on every write.

**Writer**
Who made a version: you in the cockpit, one named window of yours, a login of your AI, or an agent.

**Review**
Where a restored page waits, read by you alone, until you check who reads the space and publish it.

## the lesson

A page is rewritten, never extended with a dated note: the store keeps every version, so nothing is kept twice. No archive folder, no old text under a heading.

| An open space keeps | For |
| Every version | 30 days |
| Then one a day | A year |
| Then one a week | As long as the space lives |
| A deleted page | As a marker, with its versions |

Each version names its writer and its time. In a window of yours, the writer is that window: "Mara, in the sales window". So "who changed the pricing page" has an answer, and so does "what changed in Acme this week".

A reader and an editor see a space as it is now. Its managers see its history by their role: old versions, removed pages, and the changes feed. Anyone else sees history only through a recovery grant from the space's content owner. A restore goes into a review first: you read it alone, check who reads the space, and publish it as the page's next version.

One page's versions, each with its writer. Mara, Tom and the sales window are examples.

## try it

Type this and press Enter, with a team space you read:

```
What changed in <space> this week, and who changed each page?
```

## you should see

- A list, newest first: each page with its writer, a person, a window, an AI login or an agent, and the time.
- In a space you only read: the pages as they are now; the history needs a manager or a recovery grant.
