Your sheets, to the cell, as you.

An Apps Script you deploy in your own Google account makes every edit as you. No connector sits between your AI and your sheets.

the AI, from the pageNot a manual fill. A conditional rule on D2:D40 paints any margin under 20% red, and D14 is at 17%.

who uses it, and why

Who hands a sheet to the AI.

People whose numbers live in sheets someone else laid out.

a controller

Due dates that stay dates.

whyA pasted date turns into text, and the totals stop adding up.

asksLog these twelve invoices on the Payables tab, with their due dates.

an operations manager

A new month's tab, with last month's design.

whyEvery month starts as a copy of the one before.

asksMake a November tab from October, same layout.

a sales manager

The pipeline updated by its labels.

whyColumns shift each time someone adds one.

asksSet Northwind's stage to Won on the pipeline sheet.

what you can ask

Your AI reads and writes your sheets by label, formats and formulas kept.

Your script covers a sheet's data, its look and its tabs. The layout is read before any write.

Read and write by label

Rows and columns found by their headers, never by a fixed cell.

Dates as real dates

A YYYY-MM-DD string becomes a date cell, in the tab's own format.

Formats, fonts and colours

Number formats, fonts, fills and alignment, set and read per cell.

Formulas read before an edit

Live formulas and number formats are read first, so a write keeps them.

Tabs listed, added, copied, renamed

A copied tab keeps its formatting, formulas and layout.

Conditional rules, explained

Which rule paints a cell, and new rules by threshold, text or formula.

where the credential stays

Your script, your account, your key.

The script executes as you, so it opens the sheets your account opens.

in your Google account, and in your secret store

A web app you deployed to run as you, and a key you made, kept in your store. A hosted connector runs on someone else's server. Here your AI calls your own deployment, at Google, and nothing else.

in your brain

Your space's page names the deployment and the key. The value never reaches it.

what instibrain never touches

Nothing between your AI and your sheets.

The call goes from your computer to your deployment and back.

  • A third party holding your cells.

Only Google, running your script, handles the sheet.

  • A date written as text.

The date guard makes it a real date, and reports how many it converted.

  • A blank tab where a template was.

A monthly tab is duplicated, so the design comes with it.

the limits

Your AI reaches no sheet once your admin blocks the script.

A Workspace setting decides whether the script answers.

LimitWhat it means
A Workspace admin can block "Anyone" accessThen a personal Google account reaches them, or a claude.ai connector in Claude Code started in another folder.
before you connect it

Your AI keeps your formulas and your layout as it writes.

Why a script of my own, and not a connector?
Your deployment runs as you, in your own account, for data, formats and tabs alike. No other company's server stands between your AI and the data.
Will it break my formulas?
It reads every formula and number format first, and writes around them.
Which sheets can it open?
The ones your Google account opens. The script runs as you, so it opens only what you open.
