lesson 6 of 6 · instibrain basics
Where a lesson goes.
When you learn something that will help again, put it on a page. A chat ends; a page stays.
new words
- Lesson
- Something you learned that will help again: a fact, a step that works, a trap.
the lesson
The installer turns off Claude's own memory, unless you turned it on yourself. Claude then keeps no notes of its own on your computer. What it learns goes on pages, where your team and every Claude read it.
| The lesson is about | It goes to |
|---|---|
| How your company does its work | The page that covers it, often in knowledge/<specialist>/ |
| How to reach an app | The tool's page, in tools/<tool>/ |
| Not sure yet | Your inbox |
In a space where you are a reader, the lesson becomes a proposal, as in lesson 5.
Write what is true now, in a few plain words. Leave out the story of how you found it.
try it
At the end of a task, type:
What did we learn that the next person needs? Where does it go?
you should see
- Claude names the lesson and the page it belongs on.
- It writes it there, or leaves a proposal when you cannot change that page.
