Keep the brain clean.
Every page indexed, every link resolving, one place per fact, current state only. The curator checks it, and any session that writes a page is the curator for that write.
new words
- The curator
- instibrain's staff member that keeps the brain clean, indexed, current and free of contradictions.
- Orphan
- A page nobody links to. A link with no target is worse: it promises a page that is not there.
- The sweep
- A run that ranks the pages of each folder by rot and proposes what to cut, at most five pages a folder.
the lesson
| The curator keeps true | So |
|---|---|
| Every page is indexed and every link resolves | An agent knows from the index whether to open a page |
| One place per fact | A tool lesson sits on the tool's page, a company fact on the company's |
| Current state, never history | No archive folder, no dated headings; the store keeps the versions |
| Written for everyone the space is shared with | It addresses the person running it, never the owner by name |
| A decision is the state it produced | Written on the page of the thing it shapes, with its why in one line; never a log |
The structure check reads a space and names what is wrong: a skeleton file missing, a folder with no index file, a dead link, an orphan page. Claude runs it before and after a change, and ends with what exists and what is missing, never with "done". A reported problem is checked against the live tree before it is fixed.
The sweep reads each folder and ranks its pages by rot. It proposes a cut for each: every filler word, and every sentence another page holds word for word, with every fact kept. A page you said no to leaves the list.

Type this and press Enter, with a space you read:
Run the structure check on <space>. Tell me what is wrong and what is missing, and fix nothing yet.
you should see
- A list of findings: orphans, dead links, folders without an index, missing skeleton files, or that the space is clean.
- What exists and what is missing, and a question before any fix.
